Programs and Services

Angel’s Pediatric Heart House currently provides the following free programs and services:

• Mommy & Me (moms with newborns to age five) and support/networking groups for the entire family.
• Social events--such as an annual picnic, CHD Awareness Week celebration and other gatherings.
• Miles and Millas (APHH resident heart Shadow Buddies™) Care Package delivered to children undergoing heart surgery in area hospitals.
• “Miles and Millas Across America” Heart Shadow Buddies™ Spreading Hope and Encouragement to Families Affected by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) - a national CHD awareness campaign sponsored by APHH, with the collaboration of The Shadow Buddies Foundation and The Congenital Heart Information Network. Miles and Millas travel to pediatric cardiac care units throughout the United States for one year with their passport diary. CHD families and medical staff record and share their stories in the diary. Every CHD child visited by Miles and Millas receives a free Heart Shadow Buddy from APHH. (The heart Shadow Buddy is a registered trademark of the Shadow Buddies Foundation.)
• Referrals to Camp Boggy Creek, Make A Wish Foundation of South Florida and other organizations that provide additional assistance and resources to CHD families.
